Ensuring flexibility for a proptech startup
Share by Parkanizer case study shows how Skyrise.tech’s flexibility and wide range of software development services helped Parkanizer to pivot and get to market with a great SaaS solution.
Challenge: Proper response to business needs of a pivoting start-up
Parkanizer’s mission was to perfect the usage of the parking spaces that surround us. The start-up pivoted a few times in the search of a proper SaaS (Software as a Service) business model. With help from Skyrise.tech, Parkanizer conducted a successful experiment back in 2019 and found a potential niche within office parking.
Skyrise.tech’s approach to Parkanizer’s market opportunity
The project started with preliminary insights from the Parkanizer team and insights from customers using Parkanizer’s earlier products.
The research team from Skyrise.tech conducted a broader analysis of market needs. With all the data gathered, Parkanizer decided to go iteratively through the ideation phase and the product design phase.
Having only product sketches and a prototype developed by Skyrise.tech, Parkanizer managed to sign the first contracts for the new product.
After that, Skyrise.tech built an MVP (Minimal Viable Product) with a mobile-first approach within an astonishing week and a half! It would not be possible without externalising CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management) and integrating the solution with Auth0.
The architectural decisions
We decided to build the SaaS platform as a Microsoft Azure tenant environment. This enables us to quickly build, deploy and manage services around a global network of datacenters.
The product tech stack is based on Microsoft solutions involving .NET Framework, SQL Server with modern and stable front-end technologies (TypeScript, SASS) which give the team a lot of flexibility in feature development. To ensure fluent version release Jenkins and Octopus Deploy are used.
For the built-in reporting capabilities, we decided to use Microsoft PowerBI. It ensures scalable and reliable extraction and presentation of data.
Mobile app based on Flutter
We developed the native mobile application using Flutter. It was crucial to keep the costs low and maintain just one codebase. Flutter is one of the fastest-growing tech stacks and it constantly offers new things which allow us to have a faster release cycle.
Today, the Share by Parkanizer app helps companies worldwide effectively manage their office desks and parking spots. It stands out with simplicity, great user experience, and overall user-friendliness.
The app turns any office into a smart office. Share by Parkanizer lets office managers manage, book, and restrict desks and parking spots. It is the perfect solution when employees work partially remote or in locations with hot-desking policies.
