Skyrise.tech acquired by Etteplan

Skyrise.tech acquired by Etteplan, a rapidly growing and developing engineering services company

Skyrise.tech has been acquired by Etteplan, a rapidly growing and developing engineering services company headquartered in Finland. The acquisition is in line with Etteplan’s growth strategy as it complements our expertise and increases our international presence.

Through the acquisition, Etteplan will significantly strengthen its capability to deliver applications and cloud software solutions. The acquisition is a continuation to investments in digitalization and software development Etteplan has made during the recent years.

Etteplan provides solutions for industrial equipment and plant engineeringsoftware and embedded solutions, and technical documentation solutions to the world’s leading companies in the manufacturing industry. In 2020, Etteplan had a turnover of approximately EUR 260 million. The company currently has some 3,300 professionals in Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Denmark and China.

“The acquisition is an interesting step in our internationalization. It opens many interesting growth paths for both Etteplan and Skyrise.tech. After the acquisition Etteplan has four offices in Poland and altogether over 200 employees. Skyrise.tech is selling and delivering projects to customers outside Poland in the Nordics and other countries. This business model fits well with Etteplan’s strategy”, says Juha Näkki, President and CEO of Etteplan.

After the acquisition Etteplan has globally over 700 experts working in different fields of software development and embedded systems, 250 of which are specialized in cloud and applications software solutions.

“The acquisition increases our capabilities and competitiveness in cloud and applications business in Poland and also globally. It clearly strengthens our offering and widens our customer base. Skyrise.tech has interesting customers for instance in Norway which opens up new opportunities for Etteplan”, says Tom Leskinen, SVP, Software and Embedded Solutions, Etteplan.

“We are happy to be part of Etteplan. Etteplan with its 3,300 employees and operations in eight countries offers Skyrise.tech employees interesting opportunities to participate in bigger projects and customers in many industries” says Jaroslaw Pilarczyk, CEO, Skyrise.tech.

Etteplan first entered Poland in 2016 through the acquisition of embedded solutions specialist Espotel Oy, which in addition to Finland had operations in Poland. Etteplan has since then widened its solutions offering in Poland to cover engineering and technical documentation solutions as well.

All existing obligations, agreements and operations of Skyrise.tech towards customers and employees remain in force. As a result of the acquisition of Skyrise.tech, now as Etteplan’s business unit, the organization will be able to address customer challenges and employee expectations even more broadly.
